‘The Steak’ by Kiarash Dadgar was voted ‘Film of the Year’ at the 2025 edition of Producer’s Night in Los Angeles
Film industry leaders attended Cinematory’s annual event, Producer’s Night, where they were treated to the best films from 25+ partner film festivals
LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, December 9, 2025 - On December 5th 2025, Maarten Cornelis hosted the fifth edition of the Producer’s Night at The Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. An excited crowd of film industry leaders and film lovers attended the event where they were treated to the best films of 2025 cherrypicked from 25+ partner film festivals and direct entries.
“Producer’s Night 2025 turned out to be a tremendous achievement,” says founder Maarten Cornelis. “A remarkable number of industry professionals joined us at the screening or viewed our outstanding lineup through the online platform. It’s wonderful to see Producer’s Night gaining momentum, especially because we’re dedicated to championing these exceptional independent films as they journey through the award season.”
Kris De Meester, curator, adds: “From more than 25,000 eligible submissions, we arrived at a final selection of five exceptional works, created by remarkably gifted emerging voices in the field. Having the chance to explore such an extraordinary pool of entries is genuinely an honor.”
